Students often ask where in Kansas City they can purchase belly dancing supplies. Sources can be few and far between. Musician's Friend is one source for finger cymbals and tambourines. The zill selection is limited, but they do have sets of four Toca finger cymbals suitable for classroom use for only $11.99, which is a good price. They also have high-end Zildjian finger cymbals, which usually go for more than $50 for only $30. Actually, you purchase two for $14.99-$15.99, but be sure to purchase four for belly dancing. I'm guessing you probably don't want to purchase the Yamaha symphonic tambourine for $119.00, but they do have skin-head tambourines priced from $3.99 to $9.99 (depending on size), which should fit anyone's budget. - Inanna , posted 06/20/06 |
